Our Drupal customers can now log into their Drupal website through the Single-Sign On provided by cividesk, which means they can log in with their Google account, regular email account or any other authentication means we support. This is another step towards implementing our vision of providing a single, unified, fully managed environment for managing nonprofit organizations.

Spark Inside is an innovative new charity supporting young people in the criminal justice system to create more meaningful and productive futures through professional life coaching. Our pilot program was met with significant success; an independent evaluation of our one-to-one coaching program with 8 teenage boys leaving prison showed that one year after they had been released, the re-offending rate was 12.5%, compared to the national average of 70%. This year, we expect to offer coaching to 200 young people in prison.

CiviCRM 4.4.11 was released on December 17 to correct a security vulnerability in the CiviCase component and several other minor issues. As usual, all our customers have been upgraded to this latest version within hours of its release.
In December, we also migrated our Google authentication backend from OpenID / OAuth to the new OAuth2 protocol. This change has been completely transparent to our customers with no changes in the user interface or service interruptions.
